Brussels, Belgium || Study Abroad
Updated: May 22, 2020
I’m currently writing this from Brussels!!!!! Seriously, I can’t believe I’ll be living in Brussels for the next 5ish months!!! I keep having to remind myself this is real and happening RIGHT NOW because it still feels like I’m dreaming. Studying abroad has been a dream of mine since I was 14 years old, after seeing pictures of my cousin studying abroad. And now, 7 years later, I’m no longer dreaming. Life is wild!
I've created a separate blog, called The Belgium Blog, for all my adventures. I'm still planning on occasionally posting here, mainly with all my travel pictures, but I wanted something separate so I wouldn't feel constrained by always feeling the need to share high-quality shots. I wanted to be able to share allll my pictures, even the blurry iphone pictures, if my heart so desired. I don't know if that makes sense, but it's what I'm going with. But feel free to check out The Belgium Blog; there'll be much more details about my travels and more pictures posted there!
Anyways, I'm now on week 3 of being here. And I freaking love Brussels!! It's cold, but beautiful here. I've seen all the popular tourist-y spots, made some friends with the other exchange students, and have eaten lots and lots of chocolate and waffles and fries and beer. I've gone on tours of a popular Belgium media center where the news, radio shows, etc. are recorded; of a chocolate factory with getting to taste test lots of chocolate; at Musee d'Art Moderne; and of the Belgium Parliament. Excited to continue exploring the city, and to travel around Europe in the coming months!
