A Look Back on 2019 || Personal

2019. WHAT A YEAR!
I turned 21. Two days later, I moved and studied in Brussels, Belgium for 5 months. I became friends with and met so many people from all around the world. I traveled to 15 countries and 27 cities (check out all my adventures here). My love for traveling grew, along with my photography skills.
I fell in love for the first time. A week after returning to the States, I met a guy and the rest is history.
I went on a road trip/camping trip in Alaska for two weeks with my family. We visited 3 National Parks and 4 cities. We hiked, canoed, kayaked, and slept under the stars.
I spent my third, and last, summer working at a water park. This year, I was a supervisor and a lifeguard. I became closer with some co-workers and really felt myself growing in the position.
I started my senior year of college. That semester was hard. I had to get back into the swing of actual classes and being involved on campus again. I honestly thought I was going to fail one of my classes (good news though, I didn't!!). My grandfather passed away, and his funeral was right in the middle of final exams. But...I also had super awesome roommates again (something I've actually really been missing in college), made some new friends and became closer with old friends, got a job, improved my photography, visited more spots in the Triad area and went to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and so many other good things. So it wasn't ALL hard.
Now, 2019 is over. You can watch my 1-second-a-day video about 2019 here. I spent the last few days the same way as I started the year: surrounded by family and friends. And yet, December Emily is so very different from January Emily. This year has been crazy and wild and hard and wonderful all wrapped into each other. It's crazy how much has changed and how much will continue to change in 2020.
Some of my New Years Resolutions for 2020:
-do more yoga
-learn a new recipe every month
-be more environmentally conscious/more eco-friendly
There's more, but I won't bore you with them all :)
Here's to making 2020 a good year too!!
